The color adjustment process in printing is the core content of the entire color difference adjustment. In general, many printing technicians in enterprises only focus on experience or their own feelings when adjusting color, which is neither standardized nor uniform. They only stay in a very primitive color adjustment state, very casual.

Before color adjustment, special attention should be paid to preventing the use of printing ink systems from different manufacturers. It is best to use printing ink from the same manufacturer for color adjustment. It is necessary to comprehensively grasp the color deviation of various printing inks, which is helpful for controlling the ink during the color adjustment process.

If the remaining printing ink is used before color adjustment, it is necessary to first clarify the color of the printing ink, check whether the identification card of the printing ink is accurate, and preferably use a scraper to observe and compare the sample before adding. When checking colors, sometimes even if they look the same under normal lighting, they may look different under another light source. Therefore, a unified standard light source should be chosen for color observation or comparison.

If the ink scraper is frequently moved during production and processing, the working position of the scraper will be changed, which is not conducive to the normal transfer of printing ink and color reproduction. In addition, the pressure of the ink scraper cannot be changed arbitrarily.

Before production and processing, it is necessary to adjust the angle and position according to the condition of the printed plate roller image and text. When cutting, special attention must be paid to the clean and neat movement of the hand. The angle of the scraper is usually between 50-60 degrees, and special attention should be paid to the symmetry of the three points on the plate, that is, the ink layer on the left, middle, right and right sides should be the same. In addition, special attention should be paid to checking whether the three points of the ink scraper are balanced before cutting, and there should be no wavy or one high and one low situations, which is important for the color stability of the printed product.

Adjustment of viscosity

Before production and processing, it is necessary to strengthen the adjustment of viscosity, preferably by adjusting it according to the expected machine speed. After adding the solvent, it should be thoroughly mixed before starting production and processing. When the product under inspection for accelerated production and processing meets the quality standards, viscosity testing can be carried out as a unified standard viscosity value for this product. This value should be recorded accurately in real time and adjusted according to the data for the entire product, which can reasonably reduce the color deviation problem caused by viscosity changes.

The detection of viscosity should pay special attention to its detection techniques. Usually, the main detection subject is the printing ink in the printing ink tank or printing ink basin. Before detection, the No. 3 viscosity cup must be cleaned thoroughly for accurate detection.

In normal production processes, it is recommended to conduct a sampling inspection of viscosity every 20-30 minutes, and the captain or technician can adjust it based on changes in viscosity values.
When adjusting the viscosity of printing ink and adding solvents, special attention should be paid not to directly impact the printing ink to prevent damage to the system under normal printing conditions, separation of resin and pigment, and thus causing the printed product to bleed and poor color reproducibility.

If the humidity is too high, it will affect the solubility of printing ink, especially the transfer in shallow areas is difficult to display normally.
