The glossiness increases with the increase of ink film thickness. The glossiness of printed products using high pigment content inks is higher than that of printed products using low pigment content inks. Therefore, the capillary network structure formed between ink pigment particles is the main factor affecting the gloss of printed materials. The gloss of printed materials can be improved by increasing the pigment content. But the amount of pigment can only be increased to a certain extent, otherwise the light scattering phenomenon on the surface of the ink film will intensify due to the incomplete coverage of the connecting material by pigment particles, but the gloss of the printed matter will decrease.
5、 PH value of pigment
The size and dispersion degree of pigment particles directly determine the state of the ink film capillaries in the dispersed state. If the ink particles are small, more small capillaries will be formed. Enhance the ability of ink film to retain connecting materials and improve the gloss of printed materials.
